As a liberal living in conservative South Georgia, I have a lot to vent about. I also happen to be involved in the arts, just adding fuel to the fire. Come along and join the rant!

Robyn: "Dream On"
I really like this video. I like how it messes with perceptions and stereotypes. Just thought I'd share.
the biggest jeopardy pointer i can give you is to practice incessantly with the buzzer. when you do the contestant search they give you those crummy jeopardy pens. thing is, they are the exact size and shape as the buzzer. get the pen, or, if you're watching on a dvr use the "pause" button. as soon as alex is finished with the question they cut to the contestants. if you can pause right on that cut, you'll have a chance.
i didn't study up on anything in particular, i figured if they asked stuff that i knew, i'd be fine, if they didn't ask me stuff i knew i'd be screwed.
best of luck to you. it's a great experience. you'll love it win or lose.
I discovered the challenge of the buzzer during the audition. When I went up in my group of three for the mock game play, one the guys in my group was super fast. He was obviously a gamer. I got called out for "killing the buzzer." It was so frustrating not to be able to ring in on theatre questions. Still, I eventually got in on a couple. I guess it took a while to get used to. I haven't gotten to see your show yet, but it sounds like you had some of that on the real thing. Hope you were able to go back several times!
I'm a frustrated actress/Tour Planner with a group touring company. My current career goal is to become a full-time tour director, traveling with groups all over the world. I have both a bachelors and a masters in Theatre, which I use to teach Theatre Appreciation part-time at the local community college. Ah, the mound of student loans is all worth it. Never married. No children.
